GARY STENBERG
Gary Stenberg is the owner of Rose City Float Designs LLC. He has been building and designing parade floats since 2008 for groups in Portland and since 2015 throughout the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. His prior careers in architechture and car restoration bring skills that are unique to making parade floats and keeping them running.  He has spent two years working with the best float builders for the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena in 2018 and 2019 where he honed his skills. Gary is known for his saying” It’s a great day because it’s Parade Day!”.  He and Carla are the creators of the mini float built on golf cart chassis for floral parades. They have decorated everything from wagons, bikes, umbrellas to 45’ long parade floats.

CARLA STENBERG
Carla Stenberg creates the designs for Gary’s floats and is on the Board of Directors of the Portland Rose Festival. She has served as the Festival’s Grand Floral Parade Chair for the past six years and considered one of the best parade chairs in the business.  This festival has been named the best in the world twice by the International Event & Festival Association. She also has volunteered with the float builders in Pasadena to learn more floral techniques. Her real business however is that of a top financial advisor which helps her float clients learn to stretch their budgets by shopping smart for materials. This team has been married for 45 years and loves to travel for a festival.
